The food of the future in focus at the first international iFOOD conference

Aarhus University Centre for Innovative Food Research, iFOOD, will organise its first international research conference on 1 and 2 February 2021. Here, the latest food research in everything from production of raw material, food processing and packaging to sensory science, consumer behaviour and health will be presented. The conference takes place online and participation is free.

Would you like to hear about the research in cell-based meat, vertical farming or green protein? Are you interested in food structure, product development or food-related health? Do you want to know more about our digital interaction with food or the Instagram phenomenon "food porn"?

Then you can join us, when Aarhus University Centre for Innovative Food Research, iFOOD, organises its first international research conference on 1 and 2 February 2021. The conference takes place online, it is free to attend, and anyone interested is welcome.

Professor Milena Corredig is Centre Leader for iFOOD and the initiator of the conference:

- iFOOD is an interdisciplinary center that embraces many different aspects of innovative food research at Aarhus University. With the iFOOD conference, we want to create awareness around the research. By presenting the latest results, projects and technologies, we hope to inspire researchers, students, companies or others involved in food. In short, we want to bring the research to life.

- It is a broad conference with a wealth of exciting topics. Different disciplines must learn from each other and collaborate to create the most innovative food solutions in the entire value chain, and we hope to foster new collaborations based on the conference. Maybe specialists in one area can become interested in another area as well? The conference will provide opportunities for this.
